Top Things You Need to Know About Redfall

Not too many people venturing out of safety to check out the boardwalk these days, and forget about getting fresh lobster. Now vampires rule the town by night and the human cultists who worship them patrol the streets by day. When the vampires took over, they blocked out the sun, pushed back the tides, and effectively walled off the island from the rest of society, trapping everyone who remained. It had everything a coastal town in Massachusetts should have: a lighthouse, a lobster shack, a boardwalk… Redfall used to be a bustling, beautiful island community. Do whatever it takes to build the perfect team of vampire slayers. Pick from a roster of heroes with distinct skills and gear them up with customizable weaponry found throughout the island. Choose your path across the island and through the vampire masses as you discover what caused this plague of bloodsuckers, and then put an end to the threat. Play it solo or in co-op with up to four players to face off against a legion of vampires that have overtaken the once-quaint island town of Redfall. Maybe the day-one thing with gamepass will help it, who knows.Redfall is a co-op, open-world, first-person shooter from Arkane Austin. I woulnd't be happy to have another "prey scenario" at lauch. But if the awful marketing ends up making less people pick it up or even care about it, that would be a real shame. But I was really impressed with the creativity and ambition of the devs, and their clear effort to make this game have the "arkane-dna". Ok, I know that, in the end, the quality is not certain, the game could not live up to past arkane games. Hell they even took a whole year to show a little of the horror tone of the game! The game will have banter between the characters if you play coop, but that should not the MAIN SELLING POINT. I don't know how they thought another first-person/quirky/coop/shooter would be great to convince people it's a good game. I know this has been a staple for bethesda as a publisher(especially for arkane games), but since microsoft had already bought them and DID THE FIRST showcase of the game, they really should have made it look as incredible as the devs explained in the recent interview.īut god damn. The marketing for the game has been really shit up to now. Just them saying the options you have while progressing, moving, the creppy lore, got me hyped as hell. I'm extremely optimistic for the game now, more than before. It's really good, they go really in depth on the mechanincs, story, lore!! It is amazing, gave me the feeling of expansiveness I had while playing Prey, which I was hoping this game would come close to. and also to give it a show out! GO WATCH IT (it's on youtube, on bethesda's and xbox's channels) I'm wanting to talk about this because it makes me think of some worring things.
