The only other game with a short lifespan was Champions Online and that was one of the silly projects I chose to rush into without getting my head into it but again that never reached past beta stage. Dragons Prophet was a flop the server costs were 1k+ because it was so heavy on system requirements and with a 15gb client and 11 people playing who weren't donating you cannot ask me to be happy to run that for very long and so I didn't. I spend a lot of time learning the game and writing tools I spend no time asking for help and this is why when we bring games it works out well a lot of the time. But given the network's reputation we bring A class games almost every time that isn't just vanilla and away we go. Back when I had the time I said yes to a few projects I shouldn't have and I pay the price for that with the network's reputation. Though i still stand by that you should bring your old servers back and stop closing them.I feel you on this but being the only guy developing these games time is everything to me that's why I pick my projects wisely now. So if you are interested in Eden Eternal, I'd give it a go here. You need to make up your mind man.Įither way not interested in Eden Eternal, but I know that the Vendetta community usually does things well when it comes to their games. And Scarlet Blade was new and it just dropped off. I've seen almost all of your servers drop off the face of the earth. Not quite fair as the person stated above did. Hell, why not bring back scarlet blade? You seemed to drop everything out of the clear blue and to be quite honest, if your community is so big, you should bring back what it was as a hole. If you didn't have time before, what is to say you wont have time now? If anything we'd like to see your old servers come back. Any advice is most welcome. For real though. I wonder if that might work in other 'access violation' situations that I've gotten in a couple of other games. WOW, thanks much!! That's very very interesting, too. You should now have an icon on your desktop called deadtimestories - copy.exe[/ It is a problem with the game manager and not the game. I had to do this same thing to play My Kingdom for the Princess because the BFG game manager was causing my game to play really slowly.

I have Windows 7, but the same thing works in VISTA. I now have no access violation errors and I was able to continue a game from where I left off with the demo (after I purchased the game).Ĭstdenis wrote:I found a way around the problem with the access violation error. It is important to copy the game and make sure the name is changed to bypass the game manager, otherwise this will not work. Do NOT launch the game from the game manager. Launch the game from this icon instead of the old one that BF put on your desktop. You should now have an icon on your desktop called deadtimestories - copy.exe. A new file will appear called " deadtimestories - copy.exe" Now right-click that file and choose "send to" on the menu that pops up, then choose desktop (shortcut). Right-click on the file name and copy the file and then paste right into the same directory (folder). NOTE: Do not choose the Launchgame.bfg file. Then find the game file - it should be " deadtimestories.exe" Go to the folder where the game is installed (you can get there by right-clicking on the shortcut on your desktop and then choosing open folder location in the window that pops up). I found a way around the problem with the access violation error.
